Anyone intersted in a better sheathed two handed axes/hammers mod?

I was messing with the XPMS Maximum 32 extended skeleton and noticed that the two handed swords and two handed axes/hammers have separate nodes for "sheathing".

I modified the SWP two handed axes/hammers node to change the position so the the head of the weapon rests near the shoulder and the haft hangs down instead of sticking up 3 feet above the characters head.

I think a similar function can be achieved though racemenu for the character, but this mod also effects NPCs if you set them to use the SWP node for two handed axes/hammers through the XPMS styles menu.

Also, since they are separate nodes, this does not effect great swords sheathing position.

Of course drawing animation does not change, but it's not really too immersion breaking for me. I kind of imagine the character grasping the weapon by the haft just below the head and quickly flipping it over.

This only took me a few hours to do, so I'm surprised this hasn't been widely done yet. I've only seen a couple forum topics on the issue. The sheathing position for these weapons has been bothering me since 2011.

That looks really cool! The position of the battleaxes and warhammers always bothered me too.

I don't use XPMS 32 so this won't work with the vanilla skeleton I guess? I already played with the nodes but as far as I remember all 2 handed weapons share the same node for sheathing in the vanilla skeleton.

Glad you like it.

I'll see if i can get it uploaded as a mod.

I checked the XPMS permissions and it looks like modifications to the skeleton nif files do not require additional permissions to upload.

This is my first mod, so i need to get familiar with the upload process, but I'll try and get it uploaded within the next couple of days.
