FDJaeger
Hello I have a question about different LOD generators. I'm a bit confused as to which ones I should use, or use all of them. I've been using TES4LODGen for a while and I've just got TES4LL. I read in the readme that I could use TES4qLOD with TES4LL, what I would like to know is if I should still run TES4LODGen after I've used TES4LL with TES4qLOD combined. Or does TES4qLOD do the exact same thing that TES4LODGen does?
Lanceor
TES4LODGen creates distant objects like trees and buildings. My understanding of TES4LL is that it creates meshes for the distant terrain and TES4qLOD generates the textures for these meshes. Sounds like you can use all three. :)

gruftikus
Tes4LODGen produces the lod files for the statics. Tes4qlod is a little bit older program written by Lightwave which can also produce lod files, but it is more often used to produce the color maps (it can also produce the nomal maps) for the landscape LOD. tes4ll makes the LOD meshes for the landscape. It can also produce normal maps, with more features and higher quality as tes4qlod. I wanted to merge tes4qlod into tes4ll in order to provide a single tool, but I'm far away to have this ready...
