Vortex can't find Dawnguard? Or install mods to anything other than the C: Drive?

So, I've been using NMM 6.15 forever, never had a problem. Install Vortex cause my buddy said it was better, go through the trouble of loading it onto my "D" drive, setup a deployment/install folder and what does vortex do?

Load over 25GB of mods onto my SSD, filling the damn thing up and making my computer virtually unusable. NMM saved my files to my 4TB "D" drive, but Vortex? Hell no, even after I set it up to do just that. And to add insult to injury, Vortex couldn't install half the mods anyway because it couldn't find Dawnguard or Hearthfire on the same damn drive my steam folder was installed on, even though Vortex found TESV in the same folder that TesV was in. How the hell does that work? And we won't talk about the fact it couldn't import a working mod directory from NMM at all. Nor will we talk about how Vortex decided that some of my mods weren't mods at all, even though either NMM and MO recognized them as such.

Totally unimpressed with Vortex atm. Have uninstalled it for the foreseeable future.

I'd suggest that you might want to try to find a way to get this program to properly deploy to a secondary drive...... you know, for those of us that have small SSD's for our OS and install everything else on a second (or third, or fourth drive, or a mirrored raid array). I may see if you have that fixed by 2020, unless I finally bite the bullet and switch to MO (which I'm also not really fond of).

But thanks....... for wasting 6 hours of my New Years day trying to get your software to work.

There is a way to deploy to a secondary drive. As rmm200 has already suggested, you need to watch some of the tutorials and read the available documentation. This issue has also been discussed at some length in various threads in this forum. Vortex did not waste your time; you did.
