drboblolz
So I decided to start a new game last night due to downloading the awesome Argonian Raptor feet mod, and played up to when you becom thane of Whiterun. I loaded the save file earlier this afternoon and discovered I couldn't buy the house in Whiterun. I ignored it and decided i'd buy a different house somewhere else and decided to take Lydia with me. This is where things get a little funny. Instead of using her normal dialogue, she instead insulted me using what appears to be "throw voice amplified through a megaphone" as someone else put it. I know it isn't any mod conflitcs, unless uncle Sheogorath decided to have a little fun with the game, and uninstalling didn't work in this case. A quick google search came up with very little, only a couple of other people getting the same bug. If anyone can give me a little help i'd very much appriciate it. Brandy1123
The only time i have encountered this was when i tried to create an NPC through the NPC editor and didn't give it the correct AI. From that point, any NPC I created had the issues. Once I figured out the sandbox and AI, the problem went away. dsteve59
I have the exact same problem that you described. I too have found next to nothing on the web in regards to this bug. I've approached several skyrim chats and no one has even heard of the "bug". I decided to do a clean install without and mods installed and I still get this "bug". The clean install consisted of nothing more than installing skyrim with the latest update (1.8.151.0.7). Nothing else was installed (ie: no dawnguard or hearthfire and no mods), although I did add SKSE to the skyrim folder, and the play through was the same as when I had 200 mods installed. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the latest update. I sure would be grateful if someone could elaborate on this problem. Thx :) (update)ok, found out that my Dawnguard esm was somehow corrupt...seems to have fixed the prob by reinstalling that esm.
