Internet Site setup help

I am intending to create a website where I shall post my comics. There will be advertising, which is how I will make money. I am asking for help. Which webspace providers allow people to put up their own advertisements? How do I set up advertisements? And how do I format the website so as to create a proper comic archive, as it is in this website?

As for the ads. All of the free web services I know of do not allow ads that you put in. Since there are already some on the site. However, if you buy one of the cheaper hosting services. You can create your site and put as many ads as you want in.

For the HTML/CSS/JavaScript coding. I suggest you start reading some tutorials. Or find someone who is nice enough to do it for you. I might...... After school starts (next Wednesday) I'll see how busy I am. I don't want to get to committed right now.

You could pay for like a year at a time. But no you can't just buy webspace. It sucks I know. How soon did you want to make your site? I may have a solution.

I haven't purchased the webspace yet....I'm hoping to find a place that will start off free, but when I gain traffic, I can upgrade for advertisement. But, generally, I hope to start asap.

The only way you can do it completely free is to host it yourself and that opens up a whole new can of worms.

When you buy web-space you're actually renting space and service on another's server.

You might want to try looking into blogs.

Good luck.
