LordChenzi
i want to set up a wander package that lets the applied npc's wander all across skyrim and i would like to do this fast can this be done? im going to be placing npcs at random locations so they may wander and kill on their ownI have the proper factions set up so they will not kill each other
Iv121
You cant do it like that. Why wont you add many random spawn points just like Bethesda did with the creatures, it's not like someone will notice the difference and it fulfils your task. gasti89
I don't know if it's possible to set a sandbox/wander package for all the skyrim territory. Just know that i use a Whiterun sandbox, and it has a radius of 50000. So i think it will be nearly impossible to calculate the whole radius, and also i think it will bring tons of problems (for example, setting 60000 in my package sometimes freezes the NPC, and other times teleports him here and there). I would suggest to set multiple patrol routes. Let's say 7 different ones for each day of the weak. Or you could use some kind of global variable as condition for the packages to give them a more "random" feeling. But i'd avoid sandboxes if i were in you, they are good for interiors or little worldspaces.
dling
If I were you I'd check the wander packages used by Khajiit caravans and couriers. I do see them on the roads sometimes, so maybe they have what you need if they just spawn at the different locations then may as well check "Maiq the liar" as he DOES transition from place to place the long way
gasti89
If i remember well, khajiit caravans use a "travel" package with specified targets. And they use global variables to determine when to move from one city to another.
LordChenzi
when i was toying with the range on the original wander package i noticed something called 1.#INF00 must be the infinity variable i think i will toy around some more thanks for the tips everyone =)
