HRSConjack
After using Vortex for maybe a month the program has started to refuse to launch, even after several reinstallsThe program pulls up its splash on the desktop and then does nothing This problem has left Skyrim unplayable because one of the mods i have installed broke all of the animations, and i cant uninstall the mod without using Vortex Is this a known issue? BigBizkit
Have you checked if any of these reasons might apply? https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7151166-whitescreen-reasons/
kirkzhom
Yeah I have the same exact thing happening. What's really weird is that the program is open - it's running according to the task manager. I can see it on my task bar too and even if I 'shift/tab'. It simply will not show itself on the actual desktop. So it's up and its even running but its useless because you can't actually USE the program. I've restarted, run it as administrator (nice warning about that too!) just to see if it would show up and so on. Nada. And none of the 'screen-reasons' seem to me to apply to this issue. What happens if you press "ALT + Space" and then try to use the arrow keys to move and resize the Vortex window?
kirkzhom
So for some reason my update to my post didn't show. Ok, so looking into if it was a WIN 10 issue, I found that if I right click on the Icon's properties and change the RUN drop down to Maximize (rather than the default 'normal'), the program starts just fine. You cannot resize the window nor minimize it and bring it back. To bring it back from the tool bar you have to alt-space on the desktop and pick maximize again. The arrow trick didn't work unfortunately. SO it will run fine in MAXIMIZE only. I even went back to properties and reset the icon properties to 'normal' to see what would happen and it starts now, but only maximized. In short, it's a work around but I wouldn't say it's a solution though at least I can get back to hunting dragons!
LemonSour
Any progress made on this? I have a similar problem.
Arph
I had to bump this topic because I was trying to fix this issue for 45 mins. and I got a solution : press alt space at the same time and select restore from the menu that worked for me because Fallout NV decided to start at 800x600 resolution and messed up with the vortex window.
