Bhanqwa
Looking for a console command or mod to quit the companions. My character has come to a point in their questline were he's no longer comfortable calling himself a companion and would have said farewell to the organization, except that the game has no means to do so.If there's a way through console-use I can just pretend it happened, though ideally I'm looking for a mod. JanusForbeare
Don't they kick you out if you steal from them?
MightyZ0G
these console commands will reset all stages of the companion's quests resetquest C00 resetquest C01 resetquest C03 resetquest C04 resetquest C05 resetquest C06 out of curiosity, what stage of the companion's quests are you at where you want to erase then from your memory? if it is becoming a werewolf, you don't have to, although if you do, you get to find the cure for lycanthropy and can also cure the other companions who don't want to be werewolves. or you could deactivate the quest in the menu and just never go in Jorvaskr again Edited July 17, 2012 by mighty zog
Bhanqwa
@JanusForbeareMaybe, but stealing isn't part of my character's ways. @mighty zog know about the cure and all, but my character does not and would therefor not risk becoming one. I've yet to try them out, but thanks for the commands.
ginnyfizz
I refuse to do the Companions Questline (for reasons already mentioned in a previous poster's spoiler tags, since certain things do not always work by all accounts)and cheat blatantly in order to collect the Dragon Shout words that are only accessible in the course of the Companions questline ( same for the ones only accessible through the Dark Brotherhood questline.) Cheating can be done either by the console or by mods (such as the one by Willie Sea). I am not, however, aware of any mods that allow you to actually quit the Companions, so you will need to resort to the console or to stealing to achieve that. Still, it is worth knowing that you can still complete the collection of shouts even if you do quit the Companions. I feel that if your Dovahkin has slain enough dragons and has the Dragon Souls to spend, then they are entitled to fully powered shouts.
MightyZ0G
@Bhanqwa you could always ask about the cure before drinking the blood or you could do what I did in my first playthrough when I didn't know about the cure. just decline the offer and never return to Jorvaskr.not actually leaving but not working for them any more another command you could try is player.addtofaction 00103afe -1 that should remove you from the Companions faction.you will probably need to use that as well as the commands to reset the quests
David Brasher
I hate catching nasty diseases, smelly fur, and totally losing my temper. So I quit playing the Companions questline too. It did not fit the personality of the character I was playing, and it would have been bad role-playing to continue. I will have to go back and join sometime with a character who is sort of a barbarian and brute and thug.
