One thing that skyrim seems to not comprehend is that snow and Ice is f*ckin cold. Your constantly walkin around seeing people wearing things that you cant help but wounder how they havent frozen to death, or at least lost an arm (or a nipple) to frostbite.

Ive been searching for armours that look comfortable in the cold and found very few, infact, its usualy been a boon just to find one that had sleeves. Anyhow, all the defaults save for some of the heavys and the elven armors in the game are pointless, I mean f*ckin a Im not going to go around in a snowstorm without some sleeves.

OK, yhea kinda stupid, it realy dosnt matter in the end, and Im all for showing off sexy, but for my self, it just bugs me to be wearing clothes I wouldent take outside in seattle, in an enviroment thats more like russia....

So I was woundering if some of you could throw some mods my way that are armor mods that seem more aimed at the cold weather. functional of course, ie something that someone might actualy wear.

With morrowind it was ok cause you could just put a shirt on underneath the armor, but in gay consolitus simplification terms, the awsome character dressup model has been removed thus past and now we just have to try and get it in one go.

Any help would be awsome.

I'm working on "one of those" female armors, however I did think of the cold and there is a heat bubble ability on it and it deflects rain and snow. It's in fact a recreation of a Morrowind armor and it makes sense that whoever bought it in Skyrim actually made it work in Skyrim.

Maybe other modelers could do something similar?

Actually those Nords are incredibly resistant to cold. They are so used to it they don't notice it that much. In Oblivion they had a natural resist frost ability. But I do worry about the Argonians though.

This is a fantasy game where anything is possible. Including 'magic' armor that keeps the wearer warm no matter how cold it gets.

oi lol thats not the point, the point is that it looks cold... also, this is something that I thought about with WATCHMEN, when she does the roll out of the owl on to the concrete with her bare thighs... um... talk about just asking to get your skin scraped off.

Deffinatly on the right track... alas with all the Witcher 2 imports, and the Game of Thrones mods... if only some one could add the story/writing/acting of those two entities... got the badass swords, the badass looks, the gore, the action, and constantly compounded by what must be competing for the worst dialogue in a video game ever, and even if the beautiful world distracts you, youll get a nice punch to the intelligence nuts every time you walk by an NPC and he says a god awfull stupid line, one which has no real relevence nor grounding in reality that some one would actualy say, but he says it to you every 5 or 10 secconds that your within a certian proximity.... I mean, commooooonn.

Anyhow I digress....

Thanks for the post man, lets keep them coming.

Honestly, Ill take anything with long sleeves.

Is it wierd that the cloathing is notably more skimpy than any of the other bethesda games and yet this is the one that takes place in the frozen tundra?

BTW, just wanna re-enforce this, Im not talking about prudishness, im talking about frostbite. Im a fan of realism and emersion, its hard to be emersed in a blinding snow storm when your wearing nothing more than a fur mini-skirt and a fur bra and a deer hat, thats summer atire, winter atire has pants, and at least one of those shakable handwarmers...

Thongs are great for indoor pools and non-landmined beaches in southeast asia, coats and pants are great for snow, I didnt make up the rules, though I cant say I would do different if I had...
