shadowfx78
I remember playing Medal of Honor when it first came out and when you got hit the side of the screen where you got hit from would flash is there any way to do this in oblivion. the battle music is annoying because i end up spinning around and around when I am outdoors to find the threat. the other option would be to have a compass like orb in the hud to show the direction

StryderOfOblivion
The compass doesn't show enemies, and the round one that shows enemies does fit lore. One reason nobody has tried it yet (As far as I know) is the problem of emmersion. If you get hit in the side, anybody could be attacking you from a diagonal view from that spot, and you will be left to figure it out. So maybe, if it just showed an arrow to the side the enemy is, then it might be pretty popular. As to how you would do it? If you follow the idea of not showing exactly where the enemy is, then you could edit a screen shader (Night-Eye Effect) to show one direction. As to how you would tell the game to show the appropriate Shader when you get hit, I have no idea. Unless, when the game detects an enemy in the immediate area, it will "tell" you via the directional shader. ~Stryder~
