ajmccssjoer
The problem that I am having is this. My Skyrim game kept freezing no matter or crashing after playing for a short time no matter what I did to correct the problem. So I deleted the game, mod manager and steam. I have three hard drives so i reinstalled the steam, the game and the mod manager many times over the past three weeks. The problem I have now is that when I installed steam the game and the mod manager without any mods added I am missing the skyrim and update esm file. I tried downloading the game from steam instead of the cd to see if that would help, but it did not. I have been playing since the game cam out and cannot figure out the solution to my problem please help. Thank You
Killerbuddy
Validate your game cache files after re-installing Skyrim through Steam. In Library, right click on the game, go to the bottom of the list and click on properties. Go to the Local Files tab, then click on "verfy integrity of game cache". Do this after you re-install Skyrim, this will make sure to add anything that is missing from the re-install. Note: If you do this again in the future, you will have to re-install any mods you have enabled that have changed certain files in the directory.
