Willderyes
First of all I play all of my games through Steam. My desire is to install some mods for 7 Days to Die on Nexus. I installed Vortex and it discovered 5 games which I play though Steam. It also said it supported only 32 additional games which I don't play. Since 7DTD did does not appear in the supported list, do I assume the Vortex won't manage those mods. I tried 'search for games' at the bottom of 'games' tab and the search only runs for less that a second and shuts off using only about 1 or 2 mm's of the search bar. All of my games are on D drive and I have checked Settings to make sure it is listed. Also, I noticed that when I read about mods for say Oblivion or Morrowind, which Vortex supports, the mods themselves suggest you use the Oblivion Mod Manager or the Morrowind Mod Manager. So can someone explain what I am doing wrong to not have the scan work. And what is the difference in the mod managers.
AugustaCalidia
7DTD is currently not supported. You did your scan correctly. Oblivion and Morrowind are special cases. They are older games whose mod packages don't always play well with more contemporary mod managers. You can manage Oblivion successfully with Vortex, but you have to do a lot of mod repacking to make that happen. The same, apparently, is true of Morrowind. Even when using the older mod managers developed especially for the two games, there still is a lot of "under the hood" tinkering that needs to be done.
