dieyouwill
Ok. So after modding fallout of and on for almost 3 years now, I've decided that Im going to do a clean install of everything on a new computer. Im having so much fun  . Anyway I'm a huge FOOK fan and want to install the latest version. I follow the steps EXACTLY as they are written on the mod page on how to install it. I download the files, I unzip them to a temporary location, and then cut and paste them to the data folder. Problem is, there are no esms or esp files anywhere! On the mod page it says clearly what the load order should be, but because the files I unziped are bsa files, when i open up FOMM to mess with my load order, there isn't a single FOOK esm or esp there. I seriously don't get it. Other mods extract fine into their proper esm/esp files. Am i missing something? Can someone please point me in the right direction? I appreciate any and all help! Thanks! M48A5
Did you download all the files? There are four parts to the download. Or the full download that you can only download manually.
dieyouwill
I downloaded everything that is on the page, but I only extracted the full download and the 3 data downloads. Your comment got me thinking that I might have extracted those wrong. Should i only extract the 3 data downloads and the smaller main files download (not the full download called main files)? Im guessing that maybe if I did that, that main files download might be esm/esp files........
M48A5
You should have downloaded the 3 data files and the main file or just the full download. Don't forget, you have to download the hotfix also. dieyouwill
Ok, so I finally got FOOK 2 1.2 installed and it is working. When I went to launch FOSE it said i needed to patch. I was like SHITTT! I knew I had forgot something haha. I patched it from bethesdas website and everything seemed fine. I started a new game and it froze within the first 5 minutes. The symptoms were that of the muti-core glitch where it freezes if you have a quad core processor, so i edited the fallout.ini file and everything, once again, everything seemed fine.... Then i started playing again and got to the part in the beginning where you are in the atrium in Vault 101 and that Tom dude gets shot by the guards. I killed the guards, ran up the stairs and attacked a radroach and BAM. CTD. Im not sure what caused a CTD so fast. My load order is calibr and fook 2.....and thats it (of course the dlcs and fallout.esm are there). Does anyone have any ideas? Should I even be concerned? I mean, FOOK 2 isn't exactly the most stable mod out there. I just have a problem understanding how a simple load order like mine crashes in the first 15 minutes of the game when i attacked a radroach. If it crashes now, god only knows what will happen when I install my 50 other mods I have waiting for this game. EDIT: I started it up again this morning and it crashed again even sooner. I just get the "Fallout 3 has stopped working" error on my desktop. I have no clue what is wrong. Edited July 20, 2012 by dieyouwill
