Georgiegril
Hi, so I took over a lovely mod. One of the things I talked with the original creator about doing was adding a few more areas. Never having done that, I've been practicing various things in throw-away esps. Now I've got one that I am starting to really like....I know how to connect areas with portals, but is there any way I can import the new area, currently in a separate esp, wholly into the 1st mod plugin? I'm trying to avoid loading screens and/or having to recreate the new area manually, unless I have to. I've looked at a bunch of tutorials, but if there is one that covers this I missed it. Thanks for your help, I haven't gotten too far in the second area, and I would hate to do a whole bunch of work only to have to do it twice. David Brasher
You can manually merge portions of your mods in the CK. It sounds like you want to put the contents of one interior cell into an existing cell and connect the contents. You can open both mods at once in the CK with the one you want to merge things into as the "Active" file. You can make a big square around the contents of the cell you want to copy to select everything in the cell. You can press CTRL + C to copy it. Go to the cell you want to add your content to. Press CTRL + V. Position everything where you want it and add any connecting material you need to. Make sure that if there are any custom objects, meshes, textures, scripts, etc used by the things you copy, that you also copy them into the mod. Save the mod. Your new content will now exist in both mods.
