greentea101
Try changing shadow resolution to 2048 ("iShadowMapResolution=2048" in SkyrimPrefs.ini, or "Shadow Detail - High" in launcher options). That should make a significant difference in my experience, with not much loss of quality (personally I didn't notice any, but maybe that's just me). I don't think you can put it at 3072, valid values are 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096.
David Brasher
Things I could do to get better performance? Lower your expectations. Ditch your mods. Turn down your graphics settings. Sorry dude. Edited July 21, 2012 by David Brasher
SFBryan18
If you really get 35 fps, you don't need better performance. Most tv's only play 30 fps, so even though the game can go up to 60 fps, it's not necessary. I get about 19 fps with everything on ultra and high res textures, and it's not a very big difference from 30. I guarantee someone will say I'm wrong, but my friend told me this info and he went to MIT.
