Need help with mods

Hey nerds, I'm pretty new to Skyrim in general, and I've been just downloading mods via the ingame mod menu lately, but there is a mod I want called Enhanced Camera which isn't in there, so I wanna install it manually. I've followed all the steps I could find online: downloaded the file, extracted it, placed it into the SkyrimSE/Data folder, and it doesn't show up/work at all. I didn't think it was that complicated, as I'd been installing mods into other games for many years, and this sounded like the easiest of them, but something is definitely wrong. Is it the mod itself, or did I place it into the wrong file due to some outdated information? Please help.

If this is what you downloaded https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57859, it probably doesnt work since it is not ported for skyrim special edition. It doesnt seem like this mod have been ported. However these 2 mods seems to do the same thing.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9358/?

I've tried both of them and they seem to work. I would highly i advice you to download and use a mod manager and the program LOOT if you are planning on downloading more mods in the future.

Did you enable the .esp in the "MOD" section of the Skyrim SE menu? You got to click on Load Order and then click the check box next to the file you want to load. then hit back to get back to main menu, and run game.

P.S. yea it'd prolly be better to use a mod manager. but it's easily done manually as well. I still use NMM personally. But I messed up and uninstalled it then reinstalled it, forget what happened. but..... So now I got some mods loaded thru IT and some that dont even show in the "MODS" tab in it. But the .esp's ALL show in the "Plugins" tab. so I can still change load order that way.
