Cannot recruit or send off.

Once I recruited Paladin Cross, and I asked her to part ways and she asked if I was sure, I could only say "Nevermind stay with me." and now after she's gone I am just outside of Raven Rock and want to recruit Fawkes, but it only gives me the option to say. "I used to be alone too, deal with it."

 

 

What the hell is going on? I got good enough Karma, and I even used console commands to bring Cross to me to make sure she wasn't recruited anymore, and she wasn't.

Well you got a LOT of mods, and couple of them are companion mods, so maybe something, somewhere overwrite something it wasn't suppose to. You can use FO3Edit to check your merged patch, to see if anything changed them.

If FWE, MMM, or some other mod, has some companion helper like FOOK, use him to reset them.

I don't think they do, I know one of them has a karma check but that shouldn't be it.

@Squeecky - You definitely need BOSS to sort your load order. Barring that, you should take a good look since you do have some conflicting .esp (FWE tracers, use only one-FWE Vats, use only one). I don't think you need MMM + FWE Master list and MMM + FWE Master List + DLC.. Are you sure you are supposed to have Brookecompanion.esm and .esp?

I also use Brooke and only have the .esm.
