dubiousintent
A "texture replacement" overwrites the vanilla file OR (if the original is in a BSA) "ArchiveInvalidation" tells the game engine to use the "loose" file installed by the replacement plugin. So, when you deleted the replaement mod, you left the game engine either looking for a non-existent file or in the wrong place for it. You should "uninstall it" using your mod manager first. First try toggling "ArchiveInvalidation" off-and-on-again. Please see the 'ArchiveInvalidation (by Manager)' sectionof the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. You might want to also look into the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section as well. If that doesn't correct things, then you need to "verify files" from Steam or GOG. -Dubious-
dudeapocalypse
Thanks, although archive invalidation didn't help and some advises of 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' is too rocket science / time consuming for now, at least I know what to do. I threw together a quick fix in the form of retexture with extracted vanilla files, maybe will just stick to it temporarily.
