Kjller
Hey Guys,i hope my english is correct for describing my problem and you might be able to help me to fix this.Yesterday i improved the Game with mods from the Workshop in steam. For the Moment it was quite ok.Then the Game crashed always at the beginning when i talked to the Sister of this Nord and it was very laggy.I searched hours for the solution and i found the thing with the soundquality change but that didn't worked.I decided to registrat me to the nexus site and loaded the Nmm. I deleted the old ones from the workshop and installednew mods from the Nexus page. I also loaded the 4gb ram patch but i didn't aktivate it because i didn't know that i have to.The games runs without either. I startet a new game because i could'nt load my old game with that bad mods for sure.It was amazing everything worked without a problem and it was so nice. No crash, nothing. Now in the morningi wanted to play Skyrim again, i was kicked to the destop when the loadscreen finished. Then i tried to search for it again. Used that soundtrick and i used the 4gb ram patch from the mod.Nothing worked and the 4gb patch did nothing at all.I tried to do something with the Tesv.exe but i think i'm damaging more than repairing.I deinstalled the mods with the exclamation mark in Nmm but that made the loadingscreen faster running to the destopI can't make a new game or load it. When i try to make a new one than there is a problem with the watermodAlso steam told me with an error that the game couldn't load the steamcloud or something. Here is a List with my mods:Mods i'm using Please someone help me I'm a totally noob at modding and i'm really frustrated.Thank you already
hangarspace
It sounds like it's in a bit of a mess. It might be simplest to uninstall skyrim and steam and ensure all the skyrim game folders have been deleted then reinstall and make sure it all works without mods to begin with. This will ensure you have the latest versions of everything and will not require the 4GB patch. Then, using NMM, install one or two mods at a time and play for a while to make sure all is ok. Later on, if you get a problem loading a saved game after making no mod changes (sometimes happens), try loading an older save game then if that works, once you are in the game load up the save you are after. Don't rely on 'quicksaves', only use 'autosaves' or saves you have made yourself. Good luck Chris
Kjller
Hey Chris, thank you for your answer. I deinstalled Steam and Skyrim and reinstall it at the moment. I hope it will work.So which Mods from my list would you say, can i activate without a problem at the beginning?I was wondering if some of them (texture mods) are compatible with Skyrim Hd 2K Textures or necessary. Is there a list of mods which makes skyrim looking great and are compatible with each other?Sorry for that many questions but i'm really overworked with all that mods and themes in the forum. Rabbit1251
To use the High Res texture packs from Steam with your downloaded texture packs from Nexus you will need to make some changes to your Skyrim.ini in your Documents/My Games/Skyrim folder. Make a backup of your ini file before you start. Change it to Skyrim.org or something like that. Do a search in your Skyrim.ini and find this:[Archive]sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa Change it to:[Archive]sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa Save your ini file. In your Data Files disable the two Steam High Res Texture Packs (1 and 2). This will permit you to use all High Res Texture Packs.
