Skyrim Pregnancy: Why is it so hard?

But what would happen? She gives birth to a teenager? There aren't any baby NPC's and if you create them, then you'll have to create the animations for holding the baby because babies don't hold themselves. I think it's just too complex for the game right now since it's hard enough for anyone to make children that don't all look the same.

Just an item. Nothing more. Uses a Misc slot and would appear on your back like one of those baby carriers, and when you set it down it just looks like a baby wrapped up in a 'lil blanket. It doesn't have to be something anymore difficult then the many item mods already here.

Though an expansion that adds cribs would be nice, for somewhere reasonable to put the baby down instead of dropping it in a corner somewhere

Look, getting pregnent has allways been hard for some, expecialy in an age filled with led and mercury poisoning and industrial chemicals. My advice to you is keep trying, every chance you get, in the car, in the office, in the park, in the laundry mat, eventualy its gonna work, and if not, go with the test tube. Besides, there is allways adoption, world is overpopulated as it is, why not give a child a home who needs one?

theres a mod for pregnancy out for fallout dont know its too hard for skyrim

Depending on how one would go about it, it would be quite complex. What if you have too many children? Do they all get wiped out or something due to insufficient food? Ignoring the realism, there would also be a possibility of too many NPCs and so on.

Still, it would be pretty interesting. Even more so if you combine the follower system with a pregnancy system, then you could "teach" a child skills by doing them yourself, and the child would "gain" skills by being near you. If a modder was hardcore enough, could put a few more variables and make it like Pokemon. Hahaha. Breed the perfect child genius! Hm, I'm kinda objectifying children here... not good.

LOL. I hightly doubt it when the Dragonborn has an annual income in the billions. ( I know I easily make make a million in a week :psyduck: )

Now that is over complicating it, but it would be fun.

Well, the hardest part is getting the pregnancy right. The follower part might possibly be easier as many other modders have done thing with it. Undoubtedly, the easiest part is the skill increases and so on. (Teaching could probably be implemented by testing to see if the child and the PC are in the same cell.)

Meh, either way, still hard for someone who hasn't managed to learn Papyrus yet. I wish I could use C. =(

Why not just play Sims 2 or 3 then if you want pregnant characters?

My thoughts exactly... ...but then again I have kids, so maybe the novelty of the idea has worn off with the reality.... ...I do guess if I had a pregnancy and child mod in my game, my Dovahkin would be a real cad about it, he wouldn't be sticking around, he has way too much to do and see to be worrying about raising a kid.
