AleniaVamp2000 Posted February 3, 2019 Share Posted February 3, 2019 So, there was this bomb mod in Oldrim that let you basically take over any cave or camp and turn it into a safe player home, and I have been missing it BADLY in SSE. "Homestead" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29275 It seems like the mod has been mostly abandoned so porting it would be out of the question, but how hard would it be to create a mod that did the same thing for SEE?I have VERY limited modding experience, but hay! songofstars Posted February 7, 2019 Share Posted February 7, 2019 Have you tried converting it yourself? It's just an .esp and a bunch of scripts... The only requirement I see is SKSE. So, installing SKSE and saving the .esp in the SSE CK should be enough to make it work. I personally have no experience with this mod, but it's been my experience that mods like this work just fine in SSE when properly converted. Install the mod to your \data and scripts to \data\scripts and then load the mod in the CK and save it. Simple. Edit: Forgot to mention, I was on Solthstiem, so I chose the previously cleared Bloodskal Barrow. Cleared it again, Read the book, cast the spell, and poof there was my magic chest. Edit 2: Checked it in SSEedit, showed no errors. So, all it does is add a (huge) chest to the dungeon to store your stuff. Love it! Cause how many times have I been stuck in a dungeon, wanting to take IT ALL! lol.. And even tho I use the CarryWeight x2 mod, It's not enough sometimes. Thanks for mentioning this mod. If you can run the CK for SSE, easily converted. From the original author of this mod, atducey, "I should also mention that you can move your home anywhere. By casting the Stake Your Claim spell in a new cleared area, you move the magic chest to where you currently are. The gear comes with it, and so do the scripts. The old area will no longer be your home, but you have a new, better one, right?" I woulda liked it even if your gear in the previous location disappeared..
