MRELEKTRIK
What exactly would this be used for in terms of the average user installing mods and what kind of mods would require it? I have never had anything say it was needed but some have suggested its use. I couldn't really find much information on it that was descriptive in that manner. I'm not savvy with all the programmer lingo.
DarkRudra
It's mostly for mod authors, providing a set of functions for manipulating, storing, and saving various bits of data. Sort of a common set of features so that every mod author who needs them doesn't have to reinvent the wheel. Go to the PapyrusUtil mod page and click Requirements at the top. It'll show you a long list of mods that require PapyrusUtil to work. They're quite varied in their usage. As an average user, just ignore PapyrusUtil unless you install a mod that requires it. If you use one of those, just install it and forget about it - the average user won't interact with PapyrusUtil outside of that. Though one does need to make sure no other mods overwrite the files with an older version - there are a few mods that included PapyrusUtil in their own download, but PapyrusUtil might have been updated since those mods were released.
