MrStormD
Anytime I use Unrelenting force my game crashes... Nice job Bethesda, I'll just go back to 1.6. Edit: Downgraded and no longer getting the crashes. Edited July 26, 2012 by MrStormD

sinnerman69
I have my skyrim backed up, all three parts that it installs to your PC are else where, from docs, from local and from program file (x86) steam skyrim folders are all safe and patch 1.6.89.0 sometimes you need to copy over vanilla skyrim files when a mod misses up your game Edited July 26, 2012 by sinnerman69
gsmanners
the bugs may be bad, but memory + stability optimization is never a bad thing, Ah, how naive... Every time they say "optimization," that just means they organize their data a little different (they more than likely waste more memory). As far as "general stability" goes, that could mean anything. That probably just means that they "generally" got around to fixing a few corner cases of the game crashing to desktop. I suspect the elusive code that trashes its own buffers (a problem I've noted in particular since the release version of Fallout 3) has not been (nor will it likely ever be) fixed. LuDux
According to BOSS I'm using 154 mods. Decided to use the beta so I could see what trouble I'd have before it went official and life, and - well, after a few hours of play with my 154 installed mods and the 1.7 beta, I've run into absolutely no problems. Can't tell if there are any performance improvements or not, but so far it's been fine for me.
sinnerman69
I'm re-installing my game through steam as we speak, very very very slow process, only 9% in one hour well let you know if the patch v1.7 BETA is applied or not later!.. Stupid thing is I have the DVD disc in the drive and why can't that re-install my game instead of through steam? last time the DLC - high def textures took over 3 hours to install When I un-installed skyrim earlier on I used revo uninstaller and it removed both steam and skyrim and steam installed first and then I had to sign into it and seen then the install button showed in steam for skyrim and I clicked it to install skyrim again Glad the pre-game olympics is on  update got fed up with steam and started the DVD disc install update 2 My game is installed and I clicked the games exe and detail tab and it has patch 1.6.89.0 on it, but steam is downloading something to my game it's at 64% and is 365 kb's in size so far, hopes it's not a patch and just the DLC high def texture package, it is the Hi def dlc Edited July 27, 2012 by sinnerman69
