FILTHYNinJaSTEP
I looked on Nvidia's tweak guide and added a custom uGridsToLoad and uExteriorCellBuffer line to the Skyrim.ini. I tried uGridstoLoad=7, 9, and 11. I also set uExteriorCellBuffer=64, 100, and 144 respectively. No matter what I set it to, it doesn't seem to change anything. Am I doing something wrong? Georgiegril
Not sure, but if it works, you wont be able to go backwards, without breaking your game. It could be that you are adding them to the wrong .ini file, there are 2. Are you using the one in Documents? Cause the one in the data file will not affect your game. Georgiegril
Well, hmm... Another thought, is it possible you are expecting too much in the way of visual change from the gridstoload? I use 7 ugridstoload, and what I notice is some better definition of mountains, for the most part. It doesn't affect things like grass loading or trees...those are more affected, I think, but things like the LOD distance commands and the split distances for things like trees, grass, etc. So, for example, I can be standing on a mounstanside, looking over the sulpher bath area, and it can look very fuzzy, but the mountains on the other side are sharp., because I have the grass fade set kinda low. Maybe try changing a few other things and see if that helps?
fms1
Something that might help you, if you have the hardware, is looking for higher res LOD. I noticed a slightly less fuzzy background when I installed some of the LOD components for A Quality World Map With Roads, there were links to those from AQWMWR DL page, I chose the 1024 ver. because of having a 1gb video card, but there were 2048 ver. also. Here's a link. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4929 EDIT: I believe vanilla LOD is 512. Edited July 25, 2012 by fms1

Now you are banned for piracy. -DrGrimm
