gsmanners
Bored? Looking for something to do that doesn't involve too much running around? Too bad. I only have this type of advice. How about you hunt word walls? Here's a list: Angarvunde (a good place to grind your destruction/weapon skill)Ancient's Ascent (take the shortcut through Bonechill)Ysgramor's Tomb (you can easily hop up to this one)Northwind Summit (has a moonstone ore deposit nearby)Valthume (Lizard-Bird-Dog)Volunruud (you get to battle Evil Knievel)Ironbind Barrow (triggers for locked gates are never too far away)Lost Valley Redoubt (there's a reason it's called Bard's "Leap")Eldersblood Peak (this dragon sometimes gets killed by the trolls)Silverdrift Lair (about as generic a dungeon as I can recall)Lost Tongue Overlook (soul gem trap gets me every damn time)Shalidor's Maze (maze? really?)Dead Crone Rock (a good place to grind restoration)Dragontooth Crater (nearby Forsworn sometimes kill this dragon)Shriekwind Bastion (one thing about Falkreath I never could stomach)Meridia's Statue (HEAR ME AND OBEY)Sunderstone Gorge (hotkey your fire resist gear for this one)Skyborn Altar (go up to Mehrunes Dagon's head and then climb down)Bonestrewn Crest (this dragon sometimes gets killed by a giant)Mount Anthor (just south of Saarthal)Frostmere Crypt (hey, it's yet another crazy kitty)Ragnvald (you are going to do Tolfdir's Dragonhide quest anyway, right?)Shroud Hearth Barrow (hey Scoob, where are you?)Rannveig's Fast (okay, I get it... you're sorry, just shut up already)Autumnwatch Tower (earn bonus points for exploring south of here)Hag's End (earn bonus points for finding Predator's Grace)Forelhost Stronghold (don't forget to look around the battlements)High Gate Ruins (I actually like Anska, am I alone in that?)Shearpoint (a must-have for thief types)Dead Man's Respite (earn bonus points for "Olaf sacked it in dragon form")Volskygge (yeah, right... just hop up the hillside and grab the word)
sinnerman69
I'm still looking for a mod that adds all the dragon words [thu'um's] map markers to the game and not just the dragon icon ones the dungeon ones too?? Update I copied all the console word locations into a text document except Sovngarde and High Hrothgar, throat of the world and there was a location near one of the holds that started with W that had no location code this is from uesp.net/wiki site DragonLair02Exterior01DragonLair02Exterior02Angarvunde01Angarvunde02Angarvunde03YsgramorsTomb01DragonLair06Exterior01DragonLair06Exterior02DragonLair06Exterior03DragonLair06Exterior04Valthume00Valthume01 Valthume02IronbindBarrow01LostValleyRedoubt01UstengravExterior01Ustengrav01Ustengrav02DragonLair10Exterior01DragonLair10Exterior02DragonLair10Exterior03DragonLair10Exterior04SilverdriftLair01SnowVeilSanctum01SnowVeilSanctum02DeadCroneRock01DeadCroneRockExteriorDeadCroneRockExterior02DLC1DimHollowCrypt01DLC1DimHollowCrypt02ArcwindPointExterior01ArcwindPointExterior02ArcwindPointExterior03ArcwindPointExterior04ArcwindPointExterior05ArcwindPointExterior06ArcwindPointExterior07ArcwindPointExterior08ArcwindPointExterior09ArcwindPointExterior10ArcwindPointExterior11ArcwindPointExterior12ArcwindPointExterior013ArcwindPointExterior14DragonLair01Exterior01DragonLair01Exterior02DragonLair01Exterior03ShriekwindBastion01KilkreathRuinsExterior03 DustmansCairn01DustmansCairn02SunderstoneGorge01BonestrewnCrestExterior01BonestrewnCrestExterior02BonestrewnCrestExterior03BonestrewnCrestExterior04BonestrewnCrestExterior05BonestrewnCrestExterior06BonestrewnCrestExterior07Folgunthur01Folgunthur02SkybornAltarExterior01SkybornAltarExterior02SkybornAltarExterior03FrostmereCrypt01MountAnthorExterior01MountAnthorExterior02MountAnthorExterior03MountAnthorExterior04MountAnthorExterior05MountAnthorExterior06MountAnthorExterior07Saarthal01Saarthal02 Ragnvald01Ragnvald02Ragnvald03RannveigsFast01RannveigsFastExterior01RannveigsFastExterior02RannveigsFastExterior03ShroudHearthBarrow01ShroudHearthBarrow02DragonLair04Exterior01DragonLair04Exterior02DragonLair04Exterior03DragonLair04Exterior04DragonLair04Exterior05DarkBrotherhoodSanctuaryForsakenCave01ForsakenCave02HagsEnd01Korvanjund01Korvanjund02Korvanjund03Labyrinthian01Labyrinthian03Forelhost01Forelhost02Forelhost03HighGateRuins01HighGateRuins02HighGateRuins03Skuldafn01Skuldafn02Skuldafn04Skuldafn05BleakFallsBarrow01BleakFallsBarrow02E3demoBleakFallsBarrowDeadMensRespite01VolskyggeExterior01VolskyggeExterior02VolskyggeExterior03VolskyggeExterior04Volskygge01Volskygge02DragonLair07Exterior01DragonLair07Exterior02DragonLair07Exterior03 DragonLair07Exterior04LabyrinthianMaze ShearpointExterior01ShearpointExterior02 ShearpointExterior03ShearpointExterior04ShearpointExterior05ShearpointExterior06 Edited July 26, 2012 by sinnerman69
gsmanners
Hmm... I'll give you a list of places you can use console commands to get to. How about that? Here's an example: showmap 72879 1 The above gives you Whiterun Stables on your map. Here are some more codes: 1635e <-- Katla's e962f <-- Markarth Stables 96a46 <-- Riften Stables 9846f <-- Windhelm Stables 177b0 <-- Morthal 1773a <-- Dawnstar 17760 <-- Falkreath 177ef <-- Winterhold 162a4 <-- Riverwood 17791 <-- Ivarstead 177cc <-- Rorikstead 17753 <-- Dragon Bridge 177d7 <-- Shor's Stone 1779a <-- Karthwasten 177a1 <-- Kynesgrove 177c3 <-- Old Hroldan 17785 <-- Nightgate Inn The above should give you a decent head start (assuming you don't mind role playing a character who already knows a good deal about Skyrim). For the rest, it's really ruining the fun to get you closer without actually having to set out on foot.
sinnerman69
I have a mod installed called Teleportation Spell with menu_Mark and Recall with menu that has most of those locations within it's mod and can also mark 9 locations for you
gsmanners
Well, you can make a mod that adds map markers to any outdoor location. It's not all that hard if you know how to use the CK.
sinnerman69
My modding is limited to editing ini files to making bat batch additem or player.setstage in text doc bat files, programs intimidate me Edited July 26, 2012 by sinnerman69
kingdark
yeah, I would agree that it would be awesome if there would be a mod that would randomly generate a quest marker before you can do the next. For some places you need to do other quests though so perhaps for those specifics it can have a cryptic hint... or something
