Well, this is new...

Actually, I only stuck deadly reflex on today. I haven't even played with it, and the crash I described was long before that. But I just downloaded the one you recommended and am reading the readme before I install it. I couldn't care less about horse combat, so no loss there.

I kudos'd you both btw, I appreciate the help you are offering immensly.

And since I have two vets here, one other glitch I am dealing with is invisible crazed bats. The rest of them seem ok, but only my summons can hurt them.

Geez, the bats are kind of a recent MMM addon. I did notice you're using the MMM 3.6beta..I think that issue was fixed with the MMM 3.6beta 2. I kind of hang around the Bethesda site chatting with the guys for this mod so I'm actually well informed...for once. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17784

BTW...MMM 3.6beta 3 is right around the corner..keep an eye out.

Also, if that doesn't work try chatting with the creators:

nope, they load a few steps above the bashed patch. If you use FCOM Helper, it auto loads it into the right spot anyways. How many bugs and threads about bugs have I seen on Locational Damage? Not one. How many on Deadly Reflex? About 5 to 10 a day.

Sorry, my locational damage is all combined into the adrenaline-fueled combat esp. That's about 5 mods in one and is misleading when looking at my load order. I used Gecko to be able to utilize about 800 mods instead of sticking to the 255 mod limit. Don't use the Gecko until you're sure you know what you're doing with it though.

Or... some adventurous hard working mod mixing WIZARD could make said franken-mods available to the public via online servers. Hint, hint, wink, wink.

Seriously though, thanks alot. I don't think the phantom wieght issue has been resolved, but I think I will be OK to start a new game once I get all the mods I want to play with installed correctly.

All the mod creators would lynch me if I did that.

See, I can't mod..My eyesight is too poor. But I've the gift of looking at something and knowing how to imrove on it instantly as well as how to spot what caused a problem instantly. I also never forget any scraps of information I'm interested in.

Before I even knew about the Gecko, I realized that a lot of mods were basically begging to be combined. Once I found out about this utility, I just started combining all those ideas from the past. The tweaks and gameplay smaller mods, for instance, are all different but small enough. Take those variety pack for example. They probably hold 25 small tweak mods in them, yet the esp size is still a lot smaller than most quest esps.

BTW..the WAC mod I'm alpha testing? That one is going to be as big as MMM, OOO, Francescos, and WarCry in terms of must have. I'm serious...he's got over 350 creatures in this one and keeps coming up with more all the time.

I'll leave you with these teaser pics.

Thanks for the thanks! Seriously, it's refreshing.

I was going to suggest starting a test game just to double check that encumbrance is not on the new character.

Also, If you love your character, you can easily use wrye to get her face, (and her stats, and a couple other options I'm forgetting) from your savegame. And I'm serious when I say it's easy! An 8 year old could do it. So save that savegame. Make a copy of your new game's savegame, and then import her face. If you import her stats and the encumbrance is still there, re-import just her face to another new copy of your new game's save. Always make backups before doing anything, just to CYA.

And I do suggest saving a lot of savegames; you don't have to keep them on your hard drive, you can save them to a cd or to a flash drive or anywhere. It's nice to have access to them.

Oh yeah, and I was wondering about that mod called "attribute influences skill" esp. I think I saw it in my own web-ramblings before, but I can't find it now. I thought it might be the source of the over-encumbrance issue, maybe a long shot, but I'd like to take a look.

My sentiments exactly, Myrmaad. It's nice to be thanked. I've quit helping those on the Bethesda site. The other day I recommended Locational Damage to a new mod player over Deadly Reflex and got chewed out by a gang of people. All I did was make the suggestion that this one would be easier for him to figure out, but the others accused me of mod bashing and then verbally abused my help.

I think a thank you is a minor gesture of gratitude. Usually I am on the other end of these discussions (I am pretty tech savvy) and I know the frustrations of trying to help ingrates.

If people with better things to do take time out of their day to help me the LEAST they will get is a thank you. On this site I can give a kudos as well (cool function btw), in person I'd give ya a beer.

Anyway, just cleaned and updated my list, and am gonna disable that attribute one (the timing seems to be about right) and if you saved my character you are my bleedin' hero.

EDIT - DAMMIT. Still no luck with the encumbrance thing. Gonna start removing mods, and running startquest uop and see if I can track the damn thing down. The strange thing is, everytime I run startquest uop it says it fixes the enc by 60. And the enc is still there, if I run uop again it says no fixes needed. And the DAMN enc is still there. Very odd.
