Murielkai
Are there any guides on INI tweaks for Skyrim SE? I found the BethINI page and thinking about trying it out. Any suggestions?
Jannifer
Not to rain on your parade, but do be careful about experimenting with your .ini. Make a backup and put it someplace safe, just in case. Never make a change to your .ini unless you know exactly what you're doing and why. Many edits can be helpful, but many more can break your game or corrupt your saves. It also pays to remember that what works for one person may not work for another, because there are just so many possible hardware configurations. If all else fails, verify your game cache through Steam. That will return your game files and your .ini to their vanilla states, but won't touch your mods. It is not necessary to do a clean install. Good luck!
Murielkai
Thanks, my game seems to run pretty good as is so I think I'll leave it alone. Skyrim SE seems far more optimized than say, Fallout 3 or Oblivion.
COMBATFUN
BethINI is safe to use if the ugrids aren't changed and absolutley recommended. It can also be used with Fallout 4. Allowing higher settings than the normal selectable ultra values. But if you're using the MO2 mod manager, you must adjust the INI path in bethini to the MO2 ini destination. If you don't do that, the changes of bethini are only active, if you start the game the regular way over steam.
