shoddan
I bought Skyrim on the PS3 shortly after it came out. I love the game and want to try it with some of the mods people have been cooking up. Is there a way I can download it legally and use it on my PC?
Rabbit1251
You can buy it through Steam which is a download and gain all of the mods listed here as well as those from the Steam Workshop. This will also give you access to the Creation Kit for making your own mods, the two FREE High Definition texture packs, and the ability to buy the Dawnguard DLC when it becomes available for the PC. shoddan
I already bought the game once, I shouldn't have to buy it again.
TheVampireDante
Just because you bought it on one platform (PS3) does not entitle you do a free copy on another platform (PC, or Xbox).
Rabbit1251
You pay for the license to use the game. Your license for the PS3 version does not cover you for the PC version. Any other way around this is piracy which is illegal and a bannable offense on the Nexus. Edit: You also will not have access to the Steam Workshop's mods and any DLC's that you get will also have to be stolen. It's not worth it. kevkiev
Steam's Skyrim sale is over but I'd wager they'll have it at a reduced price again. If I worked for Bethesda/Steam, I'd cook up an offer where providing proof of purchase on one platform would entitle the person to a discount on a different version. (Subject to how easy it would be to use a friend's proof of purchase to skirt around the intent.)
