race menu presets

AFAIK, there's currently no way to export a Racemenu preset to Bodyslide. As you said: Different file formats, which also have different purposes.

Basic rule: Design the face of your character (and tattoos or other overlays, if you want) in Racemenu, create the body in Bodyslide.

BTW, simply renaming the extension of a file won't work. In fact, you should'nt do that. The result is most likely an unusable file. If you want to change the format of any file (not just Skyrim related stuff), you will need to convert the file properly (e.g. open it in an appropriate program and save it to the desired format).

When you say "preset," I assume that you mean a custom body which you created by modifying the default body? As far as I know, you can't import those into BodySlide because the information is stored in different formats. It isn't just the extension, it's the actual information. You'd be better off creating your preferred shape in BodySlide then batch building the armors. You can now use RaceMenu to tweak the shape to your liking. Any batch built armors will adapt to the new shape just as they would if you only changed the body weight or height. I often do those kinds of tweaks and have no problems with armors fitting well.

When folks upload the .xml files they've created for custom bodies, that is what they've done. They created the body in BodySlide, then uploaded the resulting file.

Good luck!
