Deleted4404112User
I've been having framerate and lag issues with Skyrim so I'm deciding whether or not I should go back to oblivion for awhile and bring back some good times I had. I'm just tired of Skyrim being so buggy lately and I'd rather play a similar game that hopefully doesn't have as many issues. I've never played the PC version of Oblivion so hopefully everything will run smoothly.

Because if that's the case, I'd say the answer is yes, though the main advantage of the PC version is access to 20,000+ mods.
canimodo
Well , cut off graphics details , maybe it runs ok ! It is a HEAVY game in tems of hardware requirements.... Try Skyrim , its good ! I like Oblivion 100% better !! But Skyrim is worth its price !!

Alkser
Well, go back if you really want, Oblivion is still a fun game (modded of course). The game isn't that buggy and it rarely crushes (crashed 2 times for me in 2 weeks). So yeah, if you want and got nothing else to play, I'd say go for it. Lanceor
Oblivion will run fine one some pretty old computers. I was running it fine on a Pentium D 2.8 and I know of another person who runs it on a Core 2 Quad and integrated graphics. If your computer can run Skyrim, it should have no problems at all with Oblivion.
IndestructableZod
Go for it man. I recently went back to Oblivion after getting bored of Skyrim while waiting for Dawnguard to come out. Never played the PC version of Oblivion since I had it for PS3. Now I'm glad I got the PC one. It's almost like a whole new game.
Rennn
I prefer Oblivion, and it's easier to run, so I'd definitely say to go for the PC version. The mods are really developed, whereas we're still seeing a lot of WIPs and experimentation in Skyrim. I strongly recommend this graphical mod. It just changes a few textures and it's a virtually nonexistant performance hit, but it vastly improves the lod. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/18497 And ofc, I shamelessly self promote my one and only finished HD texture mod.http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42285 Edited August 4, 2012 by Rennn
Murietta
My first TES game was Skyrim. First time I thought that isn't game better, than this. Nevertheless, when I downloaded TES IV I was socked: how I didn't guess earlier to play it! Before dawnguard I played only in Oblivion. Aye, Tes IV haven't very good grathics, but its quests is rea-a-a-ly nice! Better, than Skyrim's ones.
