kungfubellydancer
Sometimes the best thing to do when you are feeling down is to praise others. If you are having a bad day or simply have someone else who is having a bad day in mind, please praise them here. I'll start, a hint of comedy here and there. I praise all mothers whose children drive them to the point of insanity, and yet they manage to put them to bed every night with a kiss and leave the gun in its cabinet. I praise all fathers and/or husbands who continue to work hard at their job and bring home a decent wage, simply to feed their family who may or may not appreciate them. I praise the men and women who left their families behind to fight a war that they never asked to be involved in. I praise the man on the brink of homelessness who gives a homeless old man a sandwich he was too full to eat. I praise the person who called their friend, who little did they know was standing on the edge of a bridge, preparing to make the final jump. I praise the friend on the bridge who decided that phone call was a second chance at life. I praise all teenage girls who had the courage to say NO in the back of their boyfriend's car, and later wouldn't need that courage to explain to their parents why they were pregnant. I praise the natives whose lands had been exploited, destroyed, smothered to smoldering bits and still manage to put a smile on their face. I praise Homer Simpson for being on TV for around 20 years despite his complete lack of brain matter. I praise all the artists, blessed with an extraordinary amount of talent, who will never live to see the day when others will recognize their names. I praise the average Joe who told the cashier to keep the change. I praise AlienSlof and all those in the world like her, despite tremendous criticism, managed to pull through and continue with what they truly love most. I praise the hard working women, like my mom, a doctor working 100 hours a week in a hospital, who come home and start cooking dinner for their family. I praise those who give the random passerby a smile. I praise the man who decided not to coax that beautiful girl into coming to his apartment, for "coffee". Michlo
I praise folk who are thoughtful enough to make such a post and praise others. :) Thank you. Such thinking is what keeps me mostly positive. I always appreciate where I'm at compared to so many others and the fact that we do still have some good people in the world. Cheers. Kresselack
I praise the lonely man who found the love of his dreams. I praise the child that stayed in school. I praise the elderly folk who worked hard to survive. I praise the doctors who selflessly help save lives.

Lisnpuppy
I praise those who have vision to see what could be....I praise those who see what could be and have the strength of character to try to go.I praise those who even if have not the strength can view those who can with hope and openess. Mostly I praise (and am grateful always) those who love me...for seeing that underneath the sometimes rough and dirty exterior is something special. Thanks. Sniperwhere
I praise the person who admits to imperfection. I praise the person with a goal. To put their abilities to their best use. I praise the person who sees past the bad, and always sees the good. I praise the dedicated. Who never quit when the going gets tough. I praise the ones who put others before themselves. I praise the open mind. The ones who accept new ideas instead of challenge them. I praise all those who strive to get better. To not let criticism and negativity hold them back. And lastly, I praise my friends. For being there when I need you to be.
Blacksnake89
I just read a quote from one of my Warhammer 40k books. It reminded me of this thread so I decided, what the hell lets post it. "praise the mind too simple for doubt for faith is purest when it is unquestioning. If I had 100 more soldiers like you these Orks wouldn't be marching across our planet like a plague." -FC Darius 3rd Blood Raven armored division. The bolded part is what reminded me of this thread. kungfubellydancer
I praise my husband for staying by my side despite my strangeness, among other negative aspects of me that often show through in my private life. He is a brave man and has suffered a lot lately, not due to me but about other things. He is an adoring father and great husband, and holds a lot of patience. I think he and I are a great match, and despite our differences we don't let the petty foul things take over our life. Plus, we have plenty of things in common as well. This goes to all those other couples out there. In an average relationship, I suppose it would be safe to say that an negative experience to a positive one is like 1:100. Don't ever let that 1 outweigh that 100. Praises to successful lovers, young and old!
