mrpyromania
I have played D&D for a while. I am good DM'ing for the regular Dungeons and Dragons B) . I am currently playing D20 Modern, wich I suck hard core at GM'ing. By the way, what is this GURPS so many people dislike?
Domhnall
GURPS = Generic Universal Role Playing System. It was a project to create a system which could be used across all genres. I think it had some good ideas, but spread itself too thin.
eMbry00s
I've been DMing a DnD 3:ed campaign for about 7 months now (my first one), I have been playing 'Drakar och Demoner', a Swedish ripoff of DnD, for about the same ammount of time. Always irl. I'm currently 16, 17 in may.

Domhnall
Wow, Wookie-- Got a full plate there. I'd next like to ask you guys why you play in the games you do. I played AD&D from 1983 till 1991, and never seriously considered changing--it just didn't seem like a viable option. So, why do you stick with the systems that you play in? Do you think you'd be willing to change to a new system, or is the idea discarded out of hand? I'm not selling anything here, but I have developed a RPG for many years, and (as I consider my publication options) my impression is that people are generally stubborn (like I was) in regards to leaving one system for another. It just seems rather hopeless sometimes.
Wookiee
heh I play in several diferent systems... Hmm i forgot im also playing in a call of cathulu game 5.2 i think (d10) but yes people are stuborn I know tons of ppl who only play d20 as it is all generaly the same system and easy to pick up new games if you know it... then again i know stuck up ppl that refuse to play d20 on the principle that it is to "mainstream" personaly my favorite system would have to be ridle of steel (with house rules of cource) from driftwood publishings http://www.theriddleofsteel.net/ if you have like 100 to 180 spare d10's (this is for you and ya friends) i recomend downloading there hint at the ridle (compleatly playable condenced ver of there game but the hardcover book is SOOOOO much more in depth and cool :) ) its on there download page... :) unfortunatly i own mostly d20 books and mostly play them becouse the majority of players around here feel most comfortable with it :) just my two cents :) and yes i am trying to sell riddle of steel as it is AWSOME!
