"Un-manage" Folder Managed by Vortex

Empty folders? Could you please first explain what "_Folder_Managed_By_Vortex" actually is, I think there might be some confusion from different ideas of what the problem is caused by. Is it a placeholder/encryption of an folder that otherwise would be accessible? Is it simply used as a message to let the user know that the folder itself being opened is managed by Vortex rather than the contents of that folder? What is the exact origin and/or context of "_Folder_Managed_By_Vortex" appearing?

I had assumed from first impressions that it's in place of folders Vortex has recognized as not suitable of the user to access. However that's just an assumption from the lack of clarification that's been given for it's purpose of appearing on other threads. Are you saying it only appears in place of folders with empty content? Or is it's purpose completely different or a result of something else?

As JKS3N31 stated he noticed that "_Folder_Managed_By_Vortex" seemed to be in place of folders he'd normally otherwise be able to see, which heavily implies that it has either replaced or changed the nature of the folder he can no longer find. Is that the case? Or is something else going on?

the answers to your questions are actually within the file, if you care to look.

it says this;

This directory was created by Vortex deployment and will be removed during purging if it's empty

so no encryption, no double secret sauce - just a file that gets removed if mods are purged.

_Folder_Managed_By_Vortex is informational only. Write to that folder as you please.

If you overwrite any mod files, you will get a message and have the option of moving those files into the mod.

If they are new to Vortex, they will be ignored by Vortex.
