daddy0798
There's so many great mods out their, but limited number of mods can be played. I was just wandering if one of you great modders could create a tweaked mod that would allow OBLIVION to play more than 255 mods at a time and if this could not be created what about a mod that would keep all that you aquired from the mod so you could run many more mods and still have the spoils and keep a history diary of all your acomplishments. Please help with this. My email address
WoogieMonster
Short answer: no, it does not work that way.
tyreil829
TESGecko is a gift from the gods. Lets you merge all your mods. but it really isn't advised to use big scale mods small mods should work Sheppard
bben46
Unfortunately, Bethesda never expected to have thousands of mods available. Fortunately they did allow for quite a few. The number is limited by the size of the register allocated to keeping track of mods However, several are taken by the main game so in reality you are limited to 254 (I think). There is no way (known by us) to change that number. You would have to somehow add another register to hold the extra bits. Merging mods is one way to extend that number, but it can cause problems. Some mods also cause problems with other mods. Merging those will just make the problem harder to trace. Try to pare down the mods you use. How many custom sword mods do you really need? The mods that just add a custom sword or some other single custom object are the easiest ones to combine. Wrye Bash does this very well by allowing you to merge mods. Naminea
If its really such a big deal, take your item mods and compine them in CS, grated errors are bound to happen like ben said... but it lowers your mod count, just make sure you can mind it :pinch:
