4kzero
Hello guys, i'm here today because of a problem in my game that is driving me crazy and i can't play until i fix it (i am like that) At first i thought it was just a Mod or some configuration done at the fallout.ini or something like that. As you can see, around his ear, there is this weird "3-d" like visual that i never had before, and it only happens at certain positions from a light source (looking at it from a different position makes it go away) As i said before, i thought it was a problem with some mod (i don't have that many) so i unninstalled every single one and tried again, and the problem persists. Then i thought it could be some modified archive inside fallout 4 directory, so i uninstalled the whole game, erased everything left (in fallout 4 directory on steam and on my documents) and downloaded it all over again. and this SS is from a fresh start, 100% vanilla game! there is nothing else but the game downloaded from steam, and the problem is still there! gwa! If anyone know what is this and how can i get it fixed i would be forever grateful! ***Down here i will post some extra information that might be useful in case you are wondering*** - In the last 2 pictures, thats a fresh install from steam, no mods, no f4se no ENBoost nothing that does not come with the vanilla game from steam. - I tried loading a different save with a different character and place, and the problem is the same. - i'm not sure if this is caused by some mod or "cfg" that maybe left some leftovers that i let slip from a previous installation, although i highly doubt it wouldn't be fixed by a fresh installation. - I'm positive that this problem might be something else like some kind of configuration on my Nvidia panel settings or maybe on this monitor (i have 2) that is 144hz, although i already tried opening the game on my first monitor (60hz and i never had this prob before) and the problem is still there. - This problem is only happening with Fallout 4, i play many different games on this pc/monitor and no problem whatsoever with any other game. - Please help :wallbash: Edited February 26, 2019 by 4kzero
SpaceMachineSixThousandOne
You could use ENBSeries v0.355 with Subtle ENB and see if the advanced render cleans it up. It's a artifact is all. The only Nvidia settings that matter really is MFAA disabled and if you wanted to use FXAA as an added layer of AA on top of TAA and whatever was in ENB. The lighting in the beginning of the game in that prewar area is pretty notorious for poor AA & artifacts. Fallout 4 Configuration Tool By BILAGO will let you config the game. Here it would allow you to disable Volumetric Lighting & Godray, and adjust shadow settings. Your artifact could be do to these areas or block face shadow issues. It could even have to do with that particular character. Which you could enhance the assets with EVB or some other race beauty mod, might fix it. If you didn't know, Steam will create backup installs discs if you were downloading this friggin thing every time you mess something up. That sounds horrible. If I want to install, most times I verify the game files in properties for that game in Steam, and then there's the backup & restore games in the main Steam menu, make the backup, uninstall, and clean up all the left over files with a maintenance program. Probably way more helpful, is to teach yourself how to overlook the tiny things bothering you that sometimes people can become focused on. FO3 was horrible that way. Everything depended on lighting. There have been F76 & FO4 players that have said the same thing about the newer versions. Game looks bad from bad lighting. Put good lighting in, and all of a sudden it looks great. Maybe that can help you. :ninja:
