Katarsi
KatarsiTheCaringHeartedWhoReplied, on 06 Dec 2019 - idk when PAM, said:You should never mess with mods that affect followers/NPCs mid-game. It's more trouble than worth. Also, editing custom followers isn't recommended if you're only semi-experienced in using Creation Kit. You also need to know how to work with NifSkope and texture files. If you wish to recover your save, I suggest re-installing Recorder mod and cleaning your save with Fallrim Tools (Resaver). As for how to properly edit NPC's head (including hair), this guide is excellent and helped me learn how to do it without fail. I Spoke:Well, You know us humans, We learn after making the whole mistakes most of the times, wondering if its our criousity that outstrip our wisdom to think lol~ I simply kept Recorder's loose files, deleted her BSA mod (Used to open file location, delete the BSA file in order for skyrim to launch with the mod enabled, now with this important looking file, recorder seems to finally take the files back, only 3/5 atleast, had to keep the other two in her inventroy ) So, I replaced the BSA "mod" with the SE version BSA mode (Never knew there was an SE version, THANKS MISTAKE! with the SE version of the mod, skyrim launches with the BSA file with no problem!) ) entered and-WOW, her hair is red OO i installed the Recorder customizer to fix this, aaaand with this, i end my problem, Truly you cant tell how grateful i am for your kindhearted support, truly im thankful!! rn im figuring out how to make skyrim launch "Improved eyes mod" with the "SBT beautiful followers - Serana V.2_2" if you want to contact me perhaps, Discord is Zane Julien#3241 because they dont seem to notify me here of your reply, my deep appologies for the late ; ; I'm glad you managed to solve your problem. If you wish to be notified about responses to a certain thread here on the forum, you can subscribe to it (upper right corner of the thread), and you'll get notified via email. I don't do Discord. If you're playing Skyrim SE, I suggest you stick with SE mods because Oldrim and LE almost always need conversion. However, if you wish to learn how to mod, feel free to practice and don't forget to read other people's comments and tutorials. Learn more about Creation Kit and SSEEdit on your own, there are both written tutorials and videos. You won't be able to know if and how certain mods work together without the previous knowledge about those. Good luck and have fun
Grospolina
but i checked my recorder main BSA file as an active, which means all my saves will be inserted in this fileI just wanted to point out that this is not true. The Creation Kit will never update the BSA archive (containing the assets). You have to do that manually yourself using the Archive.exe tool or an external program. What happens is that the CK generates a FaceGen mesh (NIF) and tintmask (DDS), which will be loose files. Loose files always override files inside a BSA, so that was probably what you were seeing. Simply deleting the loose files would've fixed it, unless you also modified the ESP (it sounds like you did). Reinstalling the mod would fix it in that case. Additionally, Recorder's face mesh is custom made, so just regenerating it with the CK won't work. You would need to use something like NifMerge afterwards in order to get her face to look right. The Oldrim version of Recorder has the option of a BSA version or loose files version - only one of these is required. The SSE version only comes as a BSA, and that's fine. If you want to fix some bugs in Recorder (including her not taking back her files), then you can try my Recorder - Bugfix Patch SSE mod. I designed it so that it can be inserted in the middle of a playthrough. There are dialogue options to fix certain bugs, and you can read the Description page to find out how (too many to list here).
