Nif Manipulation for Newer Versions of Blender?

I tend to load my nif files into blender with netimmerse/gamebryo, then export as a different type of file and open it in the new version. To do this, I have the old version installed strictly into program files, and the new one in %appdata%. But it's so annoying to move it back and forth, inserting the skeleton (if necessary) before exporting as nif. I'm a noob at mesh/texture editing (meaning I can barely mesh edit, and no clue how to texture exit), but i started learning in blender by playing around and watching tutorials to learn different applications of features. I can't use the old one very well and I'd rather not lose the nice UI and features of the new one... My question is, has anyone finally made a new nif plugin for blender?

It doesn't matter what program you use. You won't be any good at it until you spend 700-1600 hours editing meshes. It doesn't even matter if they work in a game or not. What you need first is a huge bag of editing tricks with correct perspective. After that you can learn the technical side or for example which tools are better. It only takes a month to learn a new tool, but years to learn the actual talent part. Focus on that or switch around like a frog hopping away from some grenade spiting monster. *hop* *uh* *hop* *BOOM* *hop* *hop* *hop*

The 'hopping' should only occur in the first and last minute, when you're ready to export everything to whatever game you're modding for.

 

You wouldn't be wanting to edit the texture in Blender: try a dedicated graphics manipulator like GIMP of Photoshop.

Lol. I made a wineglass for oblivion. thats about it. Translucence didn't work. I am about to start college, and got Maya and 3ds Max 2013. Problem is, the 3ds plugin only goes up to 2012..... :( I guess I'll have to use nifscope as a bridge for now. Edited by androidmaster
