MatthewOSU1
Hey guys, So I can get any 'plugins' I download from Steam to work just fine in Skyrim; I donwload the mod from Steam, it shows up as a plug-in in my Nexus Mod Manager, and it gets successfully loaded as a mod in my data files when i load Skyrim. My issue is when I do NOT go through Steam for Mods (AKA, I download them from SkyrimNexus.com). These mods get categorized as ''mods'' in Nexus Mod Manager, and even if I have them checked and turned on in NMM, they do NOT appear in my data files when I launch Skyrim, and subsequently do not appear in the game. Before, there used to be a checkbox called "load loose files" in the datafiles section and by checking this box it would load any externally downloaded mods to the game...this checkbox is now gone...not sure if this is an issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Anyways, I'd REALLY really appreciate some help on this...just want to play the game with all the kick-ass gear and stuff that i've downloaded. Thanks! -Matthew
sinnerman69
did you add this line to your mydocuments/mygame/skyrim/skyrimprefs ini bEnableFileSelection=1 it makes mods work right or show up by default it's set to 0, make sure to change it to 1 you use text document to open ini files and to edit them you edit the skyrimprefs.ini you add that line under [launcher] in the ini file [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 also does it require Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) or script dragon and some mods start to work right after installing Creation Kit

MatthewOSU1
Sorry guys, Meant to say the bEnableFileSelection=1, not 0.... Also, I don't think this is Mod specific...all 'mods' in NMM fail to load properly into my datafiles... Any other advice??
Sonreac
kinda just the problem now, my skyrim CTD when I launched it with the mods...sorry... Depending on your mods, they could be incompatible with each other in some form or another. A good rule of thumb is to also use B.O.S.S. to sort your load order for you as well. The BOSS team tries to keep up with the number of mods that are being created and put them in the right load order to keep problems from occurring. Also, if mods have incompatibilities with certain mods, boss will let you know. The link for boss is: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6 That should help you out. That is if your problem is mod conflicts. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/whistling.gif
