Nexus mod manager bug has stopped my game from working?

I'm having a problem with Skyrim now after I went on Nexus mod manager- The game won't load at all. As soon as it starts to load a save I get an immediate CTD.

This all started yesterday when I went on NMM after not using it for a long time. I opened the program and as it was loading it started telling me that all my mods had "been deleted without being deactivated correctly" or something, when I hadn't even deleted the files for the mods I had installed. It said this for all the mods I had in NMM, deleting all of them by the time the program had loaded.

The when I next went on the game, I tried to load a save and I get and immediate CTD. It stays on the loading screen for about 2 seconds then crashes. So I tried starting a new game, in which I got three message boxes appear, saying something about missing WETriggers.

When I click Ok on all of these a new game doesn't start either. I tried uninstalling NMM and it hasn't helped at all. Tried reinstalling Skyrim. Steam then says all files were validated, but no change.

I really have no clue what's going on.

I would be really grateful if someone could help me out.

If you need anymore information just let me know and I'll do my best.

Thanks

Decided to completely uninstall and delete all of my Skyrim data and install again. Definitely not installing NMM manager next time after all of this trouble. I'll just stick to manual.

Just hope it actually works when it installs.

Okay, I've reinstalled the game after deleting everything and now I have no Scripts, Textures, Meshes or Sounds folders? I'm really starting to loose my head over this stupid situation, all because NMM played up.

look at the size of your save game files. If you notice they increased in size dramatically then you have the save game bloat problem from a mod with script errors. Only thing to do is go back to a pre-bloated save game and play from there. All the bloated saves are corrupted. There are several threads around on the save game bloat problem.

The problem is not with the Nexus mod manager as it only copys. reorders and removes files from your Skyrim directory. The problem is with one of your mods having Papyrus scripting errors.

Below is an example of save game bloat. The last good save was probably the 6:26 PM save of 10,544 KB.

Thanks for the info. I read somewhere to try removing the saves then pasting them back in the folder, and now, after reinstalling and trying that, I am able to load them. Strange bug. It frustrated me to no end, having to reinstall the whole game and updates (Which took 5 hours on Steam).

The only thing is that during the installation I have not got a "Scripts" folder inside "Data" anymore, even after validating the files with Steam. I don't think it's had any problems, as I tried the game and everything seems to be working as normal. I'm going to try out a couple of quest now and see if they advance properly.

No. After reinstalling the whole goddamn game it STILL DOES NOT LOAD ANYTHING.

FFS!

If Steam automatically uploaded the new Bethesda 1.7 patch to your skyrim and NMM was not updated as well--any changes made with NMM incorrectly altered the AppData plugin file. I was unable to load saves or start a new game. Currently, I have the 1.7 patch and upgraded to NMM 0.19.0. I ran BOSS and everything was back to normal. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the scripts thing seems to be the only problem now- I tried out a quest and one of the stages in it wouldn't advance. I'm try validating the files again, it might help.
