Vampire Mods

Hello all. I'm just wondering if anyone can advise, what's the best Oblivion Vampire mod currently in existence? I used to use one that gave all kinds of neat age related powers, though it was kind of buggy. I'm hoping there's been more development on that front in the year or so since I've played Oblivion.

Any advice?

Feeling generous, I'm just going to save you a ton of time. Download this compilation mod and unzip. Inside you'll find 4 rar files. One of which is "vampires". Inside is a package of many vampire mods to pick and choose from. The other files are "utilities"(these are all mostly outdated, so don't bother unzipping), misc. (Which has some useful features to pick and choose from) and Larger Inventory(which Darkified UI and Darnified UI makes completely obsolete)

And no, you don't need to register to that site to download anything off of it.

But I can just type "vampire" into the tesnexus search and get many vampire mods to choose from too. I have no problem in finding mods. I made this thread to ask you guys specifically which one(s) are good.

@Login: That sounds intriguing, though I'm not fond of the penalty to willpower while feeding. Seems odd. THe description says it's inspired by buffy and angel in that regard, but in those series', when vampires go into the "full vamp" mode, they become more powerful, not less.

I found Drokk's Vampire Mod which looks interesting, but the comments have reports of problems like stuck night eye effect, which makes me a little wary. Has anyone tried this, and can say if it's good and/or non buggy ?

I'm ideally looking for one that would make vampires as powerful as they should be, ie, significantly moreso than normal humans, And at higher levels, would allow daywalking .

I don't use vampire mods (As my mod is based around vanilla vampires to make it as useful to everyone as possible) but I do know for a fact that you will be VERY hard pressed to find a vampire mod that doesn't have some kind of bug in it. Making changes to something as large as Vampirism is a very difficult thing to do and still have a small amount of bugs.

That said, the one that seems the most popular is ParasiteX New Vampires based off of a quick search for Vampires, and then ordering it to show the most downloads. How good it is I really don't know (Like I said I'm keep my mod balanced with Oblivion's vanilla Vampires) but it's worth a look I suppose. There's no harm in downloading it but what I would do is test it on a seperate save-game.

I've had to quit using vamp mods due to too many problems. As mentioned above, this is a pretty significant aspect of gameplay so modifying it without screwing things up is hard - let alone the possibility of not conflicting with numerous other gameplay-affecting mods.

Incidentally, I removed the Willpower hit when in full-form as well... :P

It's really quite easy.

I'm not sure what causes it, but rarely the Vision/Form/Options keys don't work for me either. It always clears up, though. In later states, (still quite early) you can move outside within an hour or so after feeding, and there's also a togglable power that weakens you and removes the Sun Damage. It costs a lot of blood, though, and unless you're high level using vampire powers (even night-vision) will dispel it, so you're still probably going to be spending most of the sunlit hours in shelter.
