tevrenos
I'm not an experienced modder but ı'm currently working on something where ı am creating a merchant as well. ı have created the npc, the container and everything that is necessary but in creation kit while creating a faction, ı chose everything appropriately, then ı chose the location.. ı close the window, i re open it the location is gone.. i tried all different options (such as reference, nearself etc etc..) ı get the same problem all the time. then ı said maybe ı neverf should re open n just see it in game.. it never works... can anyone help me out please.. (just in case i have attached an image pointing the problem..)
samv96UK
Try Deleting the faction and creating it again. If it's not saving when you click Okay It must be a problem with the faction you have made. So just make a new faction, fill in everything as it was in your previous one (Attach the merchant container, buy/sell list etc.) then delete the old one and select this new faction as the NPC's faction instead. It shouldn't take too long to do that and should work. Edited August 2, 2012 by samv96UK

Very strange... I know it may sound silly but are you sure you are clicking the "Ok" Button and not "Cancel"? If you are clicking Ok and it's still not saving then try deleting Creaking Kit and re-downloading it from Steam.

I'm not sure what number it is specifically now. I don't think reinstalling Skyrim would make a difference, as the CK is a separate program. EDIT: Try changing the start hours to something different, like Start Hour: 8 End Hour: 20, for example. It may make a difference. I'm sorry, but I'm out of ideas... Hopefully someone who may have had this problem before will come along and give you some help, but I don't think I can help you anymore. Anyway, good luck, and I hope you eventually find a solution to this problem.
