Casinos not banning me for some reason...

Recommended Posts

I still need the "The Courier who broke the bank" achievement, but for some reason, Casinos don't ban me... I easily made like 30k on Blackjack in Gomorra, which apparently are supposed to ban you after you win 9k, nothing happened... same at the Tops. No idea why, anyone know what could cause this? Maybe some mod I didn't know does this?

I had this Gomorra guy approach me ONCE to give me some steaks for doing well, but again, this only happened once, I didn't manage to trigger that event or the banning event again...

I also have an issue of NPCs freezing when I try to talk to them while they sleep (they get up and then keep standing frozen mid-animation and won't react to anything until I reset them by going out and back in of whatever location they are in). So maybe this is some script error?

You have too many mods I know nothing about to point one out as your problem. But, based upon the position of "YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp" in that "load order", I suspect you need to sort using LOOT.

* You really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

You are using a lot of texture related mods. These put an added strain on the video pipeline. Please see the wiki "Display resolution versus Image Size" article.

I noticed you have both "Kozzz_dresses(EN).esp" and "Kozzz_dresses(RU).esp" installed. It is usually not a good idea to mix two different language versions of the same plugin. Follow the 'Clean Saves' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to remove one.

Despite you obviously have been playing for awhile, I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so.

* Be aware that one error may mask a number of other errors, which will not appear until those masking them have been resolved. Building a stable game consists of resolving each problem individually until none remain, and then realizing that every change you make thereafter (including updates to mods already installed) run the risk of introducing new problems. Be prepared to revert to a previous save if you do so.

Hey man, first of all, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I didn't even notice the duplicate plugin, cause I've been installing all mods via NMM, wasn't really using that mod anyway, so got rid of it entirely now.

I tried the Wrye Flash thing, but honestly have no idea what plugins to merge, I find that whole topic a bit confusing, used LOOT again (it was still working at the time, now for some reason LOOT can't find my NV folder anymore...), anyway, I just did the achievement by deactivating most of my mods and just getting banned from all casinos real quick and then I just activated my mods again and loaded my old save, seemed less of a hassle than troubleshooting what mod caused the error in the end...

That's fine. Whatever works for achievements. They are separate from the game plot.

Re: creating a "Bashed Patch" with Wrye Flash. You just enable "ghosting", select all of your plugins, tell it to "Mark Mergeables" (see the wiki "Bashed Patch file with Marked Mergeables" article), and then "Build Patch". It takes care of determining which can be merged.

OR you can use "Mator's Smash" tool "quick patch" button. It also takes care of determining which can be merged.

OR you can go the manual route using FNVEdit, which gives you total control. The method is described in the "Tome of xEdit".
