bumsbomber
Hello, does Vortex support translated mods? I can't get most of them to work and suspect it's because the load order is wrong. For example, if I install the mod "Immersive Armors" and the German translation, the load order of the translation is 34, that of the original mod 35. In the game the mod is in English, the German translation doesn't work. If I change the order by installing the translation after the original mod, Vortex automatically changes the load order again:I also get the message "Some mods are redundant" for almost every translated mod:But according to the description of the translation mods, the original mod must be installed. Vortex doesn't seem to understand this.Is there a solution, am I doing something wrong? Or do I have to use another mod manager if I want to use translated mods? AugustaCalidia
Just disable the English esp. and leave the German esp enabled. It's that easy.
bumsbomber
Just disable the English esp. and leave the German esp enabled. It's that easy. Thanks for your answer. But is it that easy? I don't get this because to keep it with the "Immersive Armos" example. If I look into the "Plugins" section there are two esp files: None of them indicates a German translation, but the German mod is enabled. When I look into the download archive of the original and the translated mods I see both use a file named Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp. So there is no way for me to disable the original file and enable the translated file as there only is one file in the Plugins list (the original file). So I have to copy the translated file over with a file manager like the Explorer and can't use Vortex for this or how can I do this? Won't Vortex overwrite the esp next time it deploys mods? Solution AugustaCalidia Posted March 9, 2019 Solution Share Posted March 9, 2019 Well, you're right. It's not that easy. Since I don't use translation mods, I just assumed a German translation .esp would show up in the plugins list and that the English .esp could be easily disabled. Wrong! I've now done some testing, using Immersive Armors and the German translation mod. My conclusion is that you need to revisit your conflict rules (click on "Manage Rules" at the top of the mods page) and set a "load after" rule for each of your German translation mods. Then save, deploy, and sort. Your list of redundant mods should disappear, and you should now have active German translations in your game. Here's a picture showing how I resolved the file conflict in Immersive Armors: The "1 conflicting file" is, of course, the .esp and not any of the meshes and textures. I hope this helps. bumsbomber
That's strange - I've tried the approach before, but the mods did'nt show up there. Although I had the original mod and translation enabled, they weren't in the rules dialog. I've reinstalled both now and suddenly they show up.I'm not sure, but it seems like you have to install the translation before the actual mod to get Vortex handling it as a conflict. After I had reinstalled each English mod individually, I could now set the rule for each one. Thank you!

AugustaCalidia
Hi, I tried how you describe all, but Immersive Armours wont change to german in the mcm You're correct - no German text appears in MCM, although it is present elsewhere in the game. I have no idea why this is the case or how to remedy it. Sorry, but this one is above my pay grade. Would some kind, knowledgeable soul please help us out?
