LordFlashheart
Hi all :) I've decided to start a new game on Skyrim and am having some minor issues which I hope can be resolved with a little help. Basically the issues I'm having are as follows:- 1) Whiterun guards have abandoned the tradition guard helmet in favour of a fur hood kind of thing, with a helmet underneath it - basically the headgear seen in the top left image in the images section of the immersive armour mod:- http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19733 While it's not really a problem, it's just a matter of taste/aesthetic, and I don't like that head-gear on guards one bit - especially when it's combined with cloaks from other mods and so clips into other bits of clothing...just looks stupid. Anyway, I seem to have narrowed it down to the Immersive armours mod, because when I uncheck it, the guards stop wearing them (although strangely I can still craft them myself... so maybe they're from a different mod), and when I use it, they all wear them. EDIT: MANAGED TO SOLVE NUMBER 2 Any help I can get to fix these things would be greatly appreciated, as while they are not game breaking or anything, they are pretty annoying... Ihmislehma
The guards may be wearing these fur/helmet hybrid thingies because they are worked on their leveled lists. Now, I have really no idea how to address this problem, but you could always go and ask the creators of Immersive Armors mod if they have indeed done this. Hope this helps at all ^^

LordFlashheart
Right... After a bit of looking, I've now found the root of the problem. It's an addition made to the Immersive armours mod by the Mod author of a mod called "Fur hoods hd" - by Northborn - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3201 Any idea how I could get those particular hoods removed from the levelled lists? Or remove them from the immersive armours mod altogether? Also as a further matter of interest, what modding tools are available for Skyrim? I know with Fallout there was the GECK, but I dunno what's out there for Skyrim :( I also assume it works in pretty much the same way as the GECK yes? Ihmislehma
I don't know how to modify Leveled Lists myself, but you might find some information about that in the Nexus Wiki's Skyrim section. Also, the modding tool I know is Creation Kit. It's a free program you can download from Steam. You'll have to navigate to your game library, and from the drop-down menu (next to the "search" option) there choose "tools". Just look for Creation kit. And to learn more about Creation Kit and how to use it, you'll want to go here: http://www.creationkit.com/ And glad I coule be of help to you ^^

LordFlashheart
Yep, hope you can make it the way you like it :) Thanks for your help :) In the end I decided to simply uninstall immersive armours, and simply only install the armours in the pack that I liked, since they're all separate files, as well as some other armour mods which were also in IA... all the armours are in game/craftable, but not mess/fuss regarding guard, everyone wins :)
Mushrooom
Hi, i have the same problem. After Immersive armors (and Cloaks of Skyrim, Winter is Coming, Frostfall and Wet & Cold) the guards have begun using random headslot armors off Immersive armors i think.I think Wet & Cold is making the guards take off their normal helmets, and immediately they are replaced by either Immersive armor helmets, or random ones even. Is there any way to fix this? There should be a "No guards" setting for the Wet & Cold and Immersive armors.
Mushrooom
Might also be Immersive armors for NPC's that fix the leveled items list for guards or something... :S I dont know
