Hello there!

I'm not really "new" to the site, but as this is my first post, it seemed appropriate to start here. I've been a member for some time now and I'd like to be more active on the site and in the community. The problem here being that I'm not very good at or interested in socializing and what not. I tried joining the Discord sever before, but I got overwhelmed with the amount of people and couldn't really get a word in without feeling awkward or out of place. I've really only used the site in the past to download mods, but recently I decided I'd like to begin developing my own mods and learn more about modding in general. Which, as you can image, is difficult with no connections. This seemed like a good start, which is really the point of this introduction to begin with.

So, hello! It's a pleasure to be here. I've enjoyed the using site for years now, and hopefully will be able to contribute to it myself.

Every new change in communications, and life in general, that takes some time to learn how to use intimidates even the smartest people. It takes some people longer to limber up the brains muscles. All those brain function that have been accustomed to the same old same old use day after day are being challenged.

If you need a reminder about what I am saying, go back and look at the oldest device you remember communicating with.

Then think about who you used to communicate with.

Then think about what stirred you up to get you using that familiar communication device.

And then, after a good dose of your past flashbacks using a push button phone to call your friends or the girl you hoped to make your all time girl, all those sweaty palm moments recheck your reasons at the door and look to the future using the new ways of communication.

Who knows! You might actually get sweaty palms again. Bumble and fumble with words until you feel your throat go dry. Who knows, you might make new friends.

Me! I learned how to; by reading every post, posting in threads when I was stumped, and dove into the archives. All the while I was shouting at my computer, because of flaws I saw in mods back in 2002 until 2004, until I got my jets cooled down enough to realize, "If the mod gets me riled, stop complaining, start modding to do a mod better." While I still whimpered from the brains trained muscles aching from exercising them again; I learned every way to make a mod and I made one that worked. FINALLY!
