Heavily Modded Fallout 3 Constant Crashing

I just started a heavily modded file on Fallout 3 and I've been getting very good performance and framerate, but I've noticed a lot of crashing. Usually my crashes happen when I'm exploring the wasteland or when entering a new cell. For example. I've been trying to complete the Blood ties quest and in Meresti Train Station, I'll get up to the point of talking to Vance about an agreement with Arefu and once I'm done with the dialog, I end up crashing while trying to exit. This also happens a lot when both leaving and entering megaton. I currently have about 120 mods. I will provide my load order below for anyone that believes they may be able to help. I have checked my load order with LOOT multiple times and haven't found any problems so I have no clue what the problem may be so any help would be greatly appreciated.

What you have is just a list of installed mods, it is in no way a "load order". It is completely out of order.

 

You will never have a playable game as long as you use LOOT to sort your mods and try to run FOOK and FWE together.

 

No one has ever gotten LOOT or the combination of FOOK and FWE to work.

 

The only thing correct about your mod list is from Fallout3.esm to Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm. That is if the UF3P is the updated one.

 

Everything after that is incorrect.

 

The only reliable tool for sorting an FO3 load list is still B.O.S.S. https://github.com/boss-developers/boss/releases/tag/v2.3.2

 

Uninstall any unused plugins. Even though they are inactive, the data is still loaded into memory and count against the maximum number of files you can run.

 

You are missing compatibility patches for MMM. You should be using Blackened, but you need to read and understand the instructions before installing the patch.

 

You also need to actually read the entire mod description pages before downloading and installing mods.

I'll just be straight up here:

After spending 4 + days, following this and that instructions, load order, update and such said, I finally said, " F.. Fook! " This is way too much work to get a mod to work ( .. never did work .. )

 

Seriously, I would get 1 mod finally working, only to have up to 3 other mods suddenly STOP working ...

  • Never did get the DLC's to work at all.

 

When I finally started over, a clean game with Fook totally out of the game, wow, everything worked, from my other mods to the DLC's.

 

Just get rid of FOOK. You'll be spinning your wheels in mud and trust me, you will NOT get your game to work even sorta right.

Thank you both for the suggestion to remove FOOK2, I have removed anything related to FOOK2 and will try it out. After posting this, I did read online that LOOT could not be trusted to correctly sort your load order and I couldn't quite figure out how to sort it through BOSS. I don't know much about load orders and how to sort it but I gave it a shot and tried to sort through it myself. If you guys could let me know how it looks now that would be great.

You need at least one patch that I know of and that is for MMM and FWE. Use the Blackened patch https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18173 but you must read the instructions for both Blackened and Paradox Ignition.

 

Remove all the inactive plugins. Just disabling them does not stop them from being loaded into memory.

 

Use only one FWE-Restore Tracers.

 

You only need Fellout-Full, not the individual DLC plugins. They are only there for the people that do not have all the DLCs.

 

WMK-FWE patch should load after the DLC patches.

 

BOSS uses an .exe file to install it. It has been a few years since I last used it, but it is simple to figure out.
