tonicmole Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 My saves jump in size every time I save, including auto saves. First it goes from 11Mb to 14Mb, then 24Mb, 77Mb, 134Mb, and finally 177Mb. Only when I load before DawnGuard can I play properly. Bloated saves cause the obvious problems like extended load times, CTD and lag every 5 minutes or so. Nothing seems to stop the saves from bloating once they start to bloat or get them to reduce in size. I feel a lot of saves are getting blamed for this when the only common content among those effected is Dawnguard. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
machine110 Posted August 14, 2012 Share Posted August 14, 2012 My game is also causing a crash after installing dawnguard. Uninstalled all my mods ect. When I get serena on the first quest as I get close to the door inside to leave boom crash! Now that im out it seems constant about 30 mintues of playing and I get a crash. Even started a new game currently level 18 stealth nightingale. It sucks but I am trying my hardest to figure this out. I just can't play skyrim without these mods though, Deadly Dragons, Frostfall Hyperthermia, Filling food and restfull sleep, camping kit of the northern ranger. Sabre Backpacks, I love skyrim to be immersive as real as possible when playing. But I will say just playing dawnguard for that little bit of time was AWSOME! HAHAHAH! brickuuu Posted August 14, 2012 Share Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) Hi, Same issue with bloated save, but I don't have dawnguard, only the 1.7 update. Tried to stay below 20mb with my level 86 character but now once I am outsite a town the save size double. (40mb ... :wallbash: ) The file size is stable in town it seems.Of course I have a lot of mods, I just removed warzone, that reduce the bloating but it is still really high. In addition any dialogue line that is running a script seems to take forever to launch. Can someone confirm me that reinstalling the whole game is going to fix this ? Thanks. Which mod are more likely to bloat the save ? (I suppose any mods that add scripts but ...) Pretty sure it must be one in particular... According to savegames scanner , it is only the papyrus section that is inflating , what does it means ? Too many errors reporting ?
