Did Skyrim SE just update? Cannot get SKSE 64 to work today.

Updated SKSE but the game just silently drops out to desktop after Bethesda logo... Does anyone have the same issue?

yep I am thinking something is messed up with their new release. I get that with skse current

 

It seems I identified the primary sources of issues - at least for my case. Maybe it helps other people too...

 

1) TKDodge mod seems to cause the game to crash on the start (right after Bethesda logo)

2) XPMSSE mod seems to cause the game to crash upon loading any save or starting a new game.

 

It seems that these mods have specific problems interacting with the new SKSE. It seems so because even with those mods enabled, the game still launches and loads saves normally if started without SKSE.

 

Kind of sad... practically makes the game not worth playing for me :sad:

 

UPDATE

It seems that the problem is with RaceMenu. I've reverted to the previous version of RaceMenu mod, and with XPMS enabled games still load correctly.

Hey,

 

So SKSE has been updated for SSE (skse.silverlock.org/beta/skse64_2_00_14.7z).

If you still experiment CTDs, check your mods that use SKSE. In my case, "More Informative Console" was making Skyrim crash before the appearance of Bethesda's logo, and using "Death Alternative" & "SkyUI" together would end up in a CTD upon loading a save, or launching a new game. (Using only SkyUI or only DA doesn't result in a CTD)
