We need more information about this. I just can tell you, that newest SKSE is working fine with the new SSE version. You have to make sure, that EVERY MOD DEPENDENT ON SKSE you use either don't need an update or is updated otherwise it will crash.

If you use a mod organizer like MO2 (recommended), created a new test profile with just a couple of mods like USSEEP, Alternate start, SkyUI and try to make that work. Then activate one mod after another and you can track down your problem.

Also make sure that the Skyrim SSE root folder does not contain any additional dll and co which needs to be updated which is may not tracked by your mod organizer

So, I only recently decided to try out special edition after many years on oldrim. Did a fresh install of special edition, installed MO2 and downloaded the most current version of SKSE64. Started up the game and everything seems to work fine, (except the mod manager button has a $ in front of it?) Press new game BAM immediate crash to desktop.

Did the same as above but added the unofficial patch. Get a for a fraction of a second an image of Alduin, but missing textures as he is all purplish and CTD

Figured maybe needed a mod that depends on SKSE so I installed SkyUI, started a new game and got a message saying "SkyUI error code 7 The SKSE scripts have been overwritten or are not properly loaded. Reinstalling SKSE might fix this"

Well, I have done that, several times. I've updated my drivers, I have done a fresh install of Skyrim Special edition. I'm at my wits end, has there been a recent update with the 25th anniversary that was recently and I just have to wait for a new version of SKSE? What is going on?

I am using the current SE build 2.0.15 (runtime 1.5.73) with Mod Organizer 2 and I am was following Gophers video on how to install SKSE to a goddamn tee. Mod Organizer is showing no signs that anything is being overwritten.

I f*#@ing found out what it was! So I decided to just run SKSE directly and noticed in the main menu that the "mod manager" button didn't have a $ in front of it, like when I ran SKSE through MO2... Which probably meant some sort of language or Ini issue with MO2 and no fault on SKSE...

So I decided to make a new profile on MO2 with default ini and now everything works perfectly. No issues whatsoever.
