xyks
would we necessarily need the scripts? Ive been trying to add new vampire abilities by simply editing the scripts, but it hasnt exactly been working. Then I tried just writing a new custom script and I've had more success. Im not very good at scripting things but to me it seems like the way to go is just to write our own. Well you can manually add stuff to the scripts That is way more complicated than using the CK however. And by way I mean WAAAAAAAAAYYY. Anyhow iff you are lucky and your AppyrusAssemlber and-Compiler work you can have a work around. Mine don't work :/
sagittarius22
Unfortunately this probably won't be released, because people can essentially copy Dawnguard that way. Dawnguard does not create a new .exe at all, all the stuff is in the .bsa, .esm and the scripts. Even the new skill trees are entirely scripted with a huge work-around. Why wouldn't it be released? That would be stupid. In Fallout 3, Morrowind, Oblivion, scripts were accessible and baked into the ESP/ESM files, there was no issue with "people recreating the DLC's".With this logic they could as well have compiled textures and meshes to an unreadable format with a third party program so that we could not access them. sydranark
I have a fix!!! Credit goes to this guy who made a youtube video about it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnIOZAF6zBk I'll abridge everything. Go to your skyrim folder (steamapps>common>skyrim) and look for the Skyrimeditor ini file. Open it with notepad, and look for SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim. It should be under archives. After Update.bsa, add a comma, a space, and type "Dawnguard.bsa." Then save and close it. Run the creation kit again and it should work now. =)
